Rakhi Thread

Raksha Bandan is an Indian festival that is celebrated by the Brothers and the Sisters. As the word suggests it means a bond of protection. On this day the Sister ties a Rakhi thread on the wrist of the Brother along with short ritual and the Brother prays for the well being of the Sister at all times, evening giving her a gift in return. In the earlier times it used to symbolize as the protection from evil forces. This festival is still celebrated across India on the full moon day of the month of Shravan as per the Hindu Calendar.

There are a great many different kinds of Rakhis to choose from here at the Rakhi Super Store. We have a Rakhi with various different themes ranging from those preferred by kids ( the fancy kind) to those worn by adults ( the more sober kind).
